The IP List

Bridging journalism and Hollywood through a curated platform of adaptation-ready stories

/ About the project

The IP List is a platform by PopShift that connects journalism with the film and television industry, surfacing stories with strong adaptation potential for Hollywood. Bringing together reporting from a wide range of newsrooms across the United States and Canada, the platform positions journalistic work as a source of cinematic IP while expanding visibility beyond traditional legacy outlets and independent reporters.

The project was developed across two connected digital experiences. The first functions as a landing page designed to introduce the initiative and capture interest through a scrollytelling driven hero experience and registration flow. The second serves as the platform itself: a curated hub where users can discover adaptation ready stories, access the original articles or audio pieces, and request connections with rights holders. The visual system was designed to support imagination and narrative projection, encouraging users to envision the cinematic possibilities within each story. Through editorial layouts, typographic contrast, and dynamic compositions, the platform transforms journalistic reporting into an engaging discovery experience for producers, creators, and industry professionals.
