Wakü Lodge
Translating decades of experiential knowledge into an immersive, structured digital platform

/ About the project
Wakü is a lodge located in Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southern Venezuela. At the heart of the jungle, it offers a conscious experience in dialogue with nature and the ancestral knowledge of the Pemón indigenous community. Just a few kilometers from Angel Falls, the tallest waterfall in the world, it serves as a gateway to journeys through an ancestral territory of profound environmental and cultural value.
Much of Wakü’s expertise, built over decades of operating in this remote landscape, existed as lived, experiential knowledge, embedded in daily practice, oral transmission, and a deep understanding of the territory. To translate this into a digital platform, the process required in situ research in Canaima, working closely with the team to document, structure, and interpret this knowledge from within.
The new website translates Wakü’s identity and values into a digital immersion. Through narrative, creative direction, photography, and an integral design system, a sensitive platform was created that conveys the emotion of the journey and allows travelers to begin experiencing Wakü before arriving, while clearly organizing the information needed to discover, understand, and plan their stay.
